Write to us
Or from your own mail client: hello@hopmango.com
We answer within one business day, Monday to Friday, America/Detroit. Outages of the hosted service come first.
What helps us answer fast
- The hostname of the server, or the name of the check, this is about.
- When it started, with the time zone.
- What you already checked.
The iOS app
The app is a client for your organization's HopMango server. The questions we get most:
What do I type on the sign-in screen?
The address of your HopMango server (for the hosted service, https://api.hopmango.com), then the e-mail and password of your HopMango account. If you do not have one, an owner of your organization has to invite you: there is no sign-up in the app.
I forgot my password.
Ask any owner of your organization for a reset link. They issue it from the portal or the API and it is valid for one day. HopMango does not send account e-mail.
Notifications do not arrive.
Notifications are optional and off until you enable them in Settings → Enable notifications and allow them in iOS. They are sent by your organization's server, so that server needs push delivery configured; the hosted service has it. Critical alerts that sound through silent mode and Focus arrive in a later version, once Apple grants the entitlement.
An incident I acknowledged shows another name.
You are signed in with an organization API key (the Advanced option) rather than your account. Sign out and sign in with your e-mail and password to act under your own name.
Does the app work with a self-hosted server?
Yes. Type your server's address; it needs HTTPS with a valid certificate. The app talks to nothing else.
Reporting a security issue
Found a vulnerability in HopMango? Write to us with Security in the subject and enough detail to reproduce it. We acknowledge within one business day, keep you informed, and credit you if you want. Please give us reasonable time to fix before publishing, and do not test against organizations that are not yours.
Deleting your account or your data
You do it yourself, in under a minute. Sign in at app.hopmango.com, open Settings → Account and type your e-mail address to confirm. Your e-mail, your name and your password hash go, every session is revoked, and any organization where you are the only person is deleted with you. If you are the only owner of an organization that still has other people or hosts in it, promote another owner or delete that organization first: HopMango will not hand an organization to nobody.
An owner deletes an organization and all its monitoring data from the portal or the API. If you cannot sign in and the button is out of reach, write to us from your account's address with Delete my account in the subject: we do it and confirm by reply within 30 days. What we keep and for how long is in the privacy policy.
